Frog on the Porch is an informal studio (e.g., I have no actual building or space) which began in some year or another when I began collecting glass, concrete, and ceramic frogs to put on my porch. The website and effort to catalog things began in 2023, but really launched in 2025.
The aim of this website is only to document and showcase certain works of art, mostly paintings, that may help others find meaning or beauty or inspiration. It’s not really more than that. I am not a web designer. In fact, I am a bit of a Luddite so please forgive anything that seems wonky. I originally didn’t want to sell anything, which is why I resisted creating a website for so long despite people asking me to. I paint things to understand and share, not necessarily to sell.
That said, if you do want to buy an original piece, it may be possible if I am willing to part with it. Please inquire. I also have some bird postcards for sale right here. They can be used as small art prints, or as actual postcards. But I think I may be the only person left who even still sends postcards!
